Our Story

AMW Associates was born from a desire to do business differently—to centre people in every solution, and to ensure that organisations of all sizes and sectors can access the support they need to grow with integrity. Our founder, Anne-Marie Waugh, began her career in housing and legal advocacy, before expanding her consultancy work into mentoring, training, interim leadership, and community regeneration.

Over the years, AMW Associates has evolved into a trusted partner for local authorities, social enterprises, educational institutions, and national organisations seeking strategic advice, project delivery, and sustainable growth. Our track record includes launching successful youth mentoring programmes, delivering high-profile events such as the Jamaican Diaspora UK Conference, and supporting the setup and scaling of innovative charities and businesses.

Key achievements: Business Consultancy

Successfully awarded funding from various Grant bodies and Local authorities, over £200,000 for development or Roller Sports projects
Undertook a major salary review for the Federation of Black Housing Organisations (2009)
Created co-operative with over 40 different Associates providing an umbrella service for other Consultants
Developed youth development arm of AMW Associates (2005) and implemented a successful youth traineeship and mentoring programme supported by Tim Campbell – 1st Apprentice winner

Anne-Marie Waugh is a social and business entrepreneur, consultant, CEO, and mentor whose work bridges corporate leadership and grassroots impact. Her career spans multiple sectors including housing, education, youth development, and sport. She is the founder of the award-winning charity RollaDome All Skate, a Chief Executive Officer for the British Roller Sports Federation, and an accomplished project leader and policy advisor.

Her unique blend of lived experience, legal education (LLB Hons), and strategic leadership enables her to offer high-impact consultancy that speaks to the real challenges organisations and individuals face today. She has secured over £500,000 in funding for sport and community projects, led nationwide mentoring programmes, and built one of the UK's most respected roller sports charities from the ground up.
