Board & Governance Strengthening
Service Description
Purpose This service supports boards and senior leadership teams to strengthen governance, accountability, and decision-making structures — particularly in organisations experiencing growth, complexity, or increased scrutiny. It is designed to move boards beyond compliance into effective stewardship. What This Work Addresses • Board effectiveness and role clarity • Chair–CEO relationships and boundaries • Decision-making structures and authority • Risk, accountability, and escalation frameworks • Governance maturity as organisations evolve This work recognises that governance failure is rarely about rules — it is about clarity, culture, and courage. How the Work Is Done Support may include: • Governance reviews and diagnostic conversations • Board and executive role clarification • Decision-rights and accountability mapping • Facilitation of difficult or stuck governance issues • Advisory input to strengthen oversight without over-reach The approach is pragmatic, context-led, and grounded in real organisational dynamics — not theoretical models. Who This Is For • Boards seeking to improve effectiveness, not optics • Chairs managing complexity or transition • Organisations facing increased funding, regulatory, or reputational risk This service is particularly relevant where governance must catch up with organisational reality.
Cancellation Policy
Purpose of the Session The Initial Advisory Conversation is a 30-minute online meeting offered to establish context, assess alignment, and determine whether senior advisory support would be appropriate. This session is intended for CEOs, founders, Chairs, Board members, and senior leaders carrying significant responsibility. Availability Initial Advisory Conversations are offered Thursdays and Fridays only, subject to availability. Availability is limited, and sessions are offered by advance booking only. Booking Confirmation A booking is considered confirmed once it has been scheduled through the booking system and acknowledged by email. By booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this Booking Policy, including the cancellation and non-attendance provisions below. Fee Status The Initial Advisory Conversation is offered at no cost. However, the session reserves exclusive time and preparation within a limited working schedule. As such, late cancellations and non-attendance are subject to charges, as outlined below. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 15 days in advance of the scheduled session. The following terms apply: • 15 days or more notice No charge. One reschedule may be requested, subject to availability. • 7–14 days’ notice A £150 cancellation charge will apply. • Less than 7 days’ notice A £300 cancellation charge will apply. • Same-day cancellation or non-attendance A £300 charge will apply. These charges reflect the reserved advisory time and the limited ability to reallocate late-cancelled sessions. Non-Attendance Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be treated as a same-day cancellation and charged accordingly. Non-attendance includes joining the session more than 10 minutes late, at which point the session may be considered forfeited. Exceptional Circumstances Exceptions to this policy may be considered at discretion in genuinely exceptional circumstances. Any such consideration does not create precedent for future bookings. Payment of Cancellation Charges Where a cancellation charge applies, an invoice will be issued, and payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. I have read and agree to the Booking and Cancellation Policy, including applicable charges for late cancellation or non-attendance.
